      <description>To make my question clearer I want to ask the question in a different way:&lt;BR /&gt;Do u know if there is a utility or a system call that can lock CDROM drive from openning, even if somebody push "open" button in the CDROM drive ?</description>

      <description>ofcourse if the CDROM drive is busy , even if u push the open button cd drive wouldn't open.&lt;BR /&gt;if it is not in use it will open. what is the logic if cd drive didn't open when it's not in use.there is no special function from hp to do your job</description>

      <description>ask your customer to insert the cd in drive, mount it and change his home to cdrom dir.</description>
