When i try to remotely access unix machine using x/deep 32, i get the following error:

xdmcp fatal error: session failed: cannot open display

have you export your DISPLAY ?
DISPLAY=xxx.yyy.zzz.aaa:0.0
export DISPLAY

Did you start a xwindows client session in client machine? Are you able to connect to that machine with ping? May be connectivity problem is there.

Post the steps you have tried?

/sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc stop
/sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc start

Try this? Is it working.

Yes I have started XSession in Client, and I am able to connect to the remote machine using ping...

I have used the commands, but again getting the same error

Rahim,
Do you have any VPN clients installed on your machine? Stop those if you have. Also stop any personal firewalls that you run.
