topic restoring the Ignite server in Operating System - HP-UX

Is there a documented way to restore a Ignite server or import an iginite client's data into an existing Ignite server?

Basisicly I have 2 ignite servers (at 2 different locations) and I would like to bring the client data from one Ignite server to another so I can restore the client at a differnet site.

(We are using replicated EMC storage.)

Thanks.

Hi Jeff,

Here is ignite document link,

http://www.docs.hp.com/en/B2355-90959/B2355-90959.pdf

you need to transger the client data to one of the ignite server to another first and then register one of your client to ignite server to boot via Lan. Now, when you boot client via network, you should be able to select the client image from ignite server.

I hope this helps,

Sung
Hi,

Also make sure you copy INDEX file, corresponding cfg files and the archives to the other server.

Regards,

Siva.
