Error when login on to server

Hi Guys,
Can someone advice what is the meaning of the error message attach. This message pop up when I log-in to the server from telnet session. Can it be resolve ???

I think you are in single user mode or /usr is not mounted for other reasons.

It appears that there is a file system not mounted, or the path is really messed up.

Do a bdf and verify that all file systems are available.

By the way, if you were in single-user mode, you would not have networking so users wouldn't be able to telnet to the machine.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply, the file system on OS level s mounted . But, I think this error only happen if I login or the 26 users account. Butm if I use from 1 to 25 users account that was created, there is no problem. The 26 users account will kick me out once I log-in. Kindly advice???

What do you mean with the 26 users account?

It could be a permission problem, did you modify the permissions on /usr and /dev ?

Looks like the .profile you are using to log in with is all whack. Move that .profile to .profile.old and copy the default one back into the home directory for this user.
This should clear the problem when loging in, but you will need to add in the correct parameters into your now default .profile, but make sure they are correct.

Hi Guys,
Let me explain more detail, the scenior is thia I have this application that need to be share among 50 users . Thus, in order to let the 50 users to use the application, I have to create 50 users account with the same profile login and environment. The method I try to login is using dos cmd line telnet to host server and login with different users account to test the setting. Somehow or rather after testing with 25th users account is ok , working fine but when I log-on with the 26th users account, the server starts to kick me out and doesn't want to let me log-in anymore. Is there a limitation on telnet session login, and maximum users login and maximum files open need to be chjange from kernel.?? Kindly advice??

Can you check your kernel settings and attach it:
- kmtune |grep ty
- kmtune |grep max

errno 23 is the answer. It means: too many open files. If you look at the system console, there will be dozens of messages indicating "file: table is full". You'll also see this error in your syslog file. The first parameter you change when you setup a new server is to increase the kernel parameter nfile. It should be doubled or tripled. As more users login (50 or 100), you may need to increase nfile (and perhaps nproc) again.

Bill hassel is right. You will have to increase 'nfile' parameter and 'nproc' then by...
Check /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log, you can see so many error messages, indicating proc or file table full...
