Hi all,

I am getting no system console of 2xrp4440 (HP-UX 11.11) servers. I can only use mp console but can not even move to the system console locally (using mp console) or remotely (using lan). All system LEDs are green but Hard disk led not blinking at all. What is the reasons of this situation?
System was fine a few hours before.

Rgds,
Rana

From the MP console, try type CO and ctrl-E cf.

If still nothing display, then most probably you need to navigate through the error logs to find errors. You could do this by entering SL (event logs) and CL for console logs. You might find something there. If still can't access the system, then you have no choice but to perform the TC command. Monitor closely during the system rebooted from the console. If the system rebooted successfully, you should be able see something from the console.

If the system is OK (you can telnet/ssh) but you still can't access the console, reset the MP. Be sure to shutdown you system before you do this. Type XD -reset. Hope it works.

Good luck
