      <description>swmodify does not manipulate the      actual files that make up a product (fileset).  The command manipulates the catalog information which describes the files. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;swremove command removes software_selections from&lt;BR /&gt;      target_selections (e.g. root file systems). When removing installed&lt;BR /&gt;      software, swremove also unconfigures the software before it is&lt;BR /&gt;      removed.  The software is not unconfigured when removed from an&lt;BR /&gt;      alternate root directory since it was not configured during&lt;BR /&gt;      installation.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-Amit</description>

      <description>Hi Srinu, &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# swmodify is used to modify some attributes in a depot where as # swremove removes the entire depot or fileset whatever you specify. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this is clear.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-Arun</description>
