Problem with Telnet

Hi,
I can not able to login thru Telnet. Could you please tell me what would be the problem. What are the files I need to check?

hi,

what is the error ?
have you any access to server ? (ssh)

if yes verify if telnetd is running (ps -ef |grep telnetd)
See syslog (/var/adm/syslog/syslog.log)
have you try telnet with ip adress of server ?

Hi Nandam

1) Are u able to ping the server
2) check /etc/inetd.conf
3) inetd -c
4)ps -ef | grep -i telnetd
