man lock
lock and then enter the key. But from another terminal with root login, you can kill locked terminal.

hi Fauziah,
1.) if ur session locked after Time out (TMOUT), u cannot unlock it. admins or super users can change ur session TMOUT time.
2.) when u go for tea, you may want to lock ur session.
issue the command: "lock"
it will ask u a "key" and once again for conformation. and when u type the key again, it will unlock ur session.

ctrl+break or ctrl+reset is the key strokes if you are referring to the KEYBOARD being locked.
