    <description>In the /etc/passwd file. The passwords are encrypted, so if you were thinking of reading them think again!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you're using NIS, however, the passwd file may be in a different location (such as /var/yp on the NIS server).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Mark Syder (like the drink but spelt different)</description>

      <description>Shalom nandam,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Password info can be stored in /etc/shadow if you have shadow password depot installed.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you have a trusted system its split into a lot of little files in a folder called /tcb&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>
