Hi,
Can you tell me where the password information stored and can you give me locations of Path for that file.

In the /etc/passwd file. The passwords are encrypted, so if you were thinking of reading them think again!

If you're using NIS, however, the passwd file may be in a different location (such as /var/yp on the NIS server).

Shalom nandam,

Password info can be stored in /etc/shadow if you have shadow password depot installed.

If you have a trusted system its split into a lot of little files in a folder called /tcb
