      <description>Hi all,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am not getting the login prompt locally.I am able to login remotely to this server.It's showing simply blank screen.What is this problem?.Any idea, please suggest me.</description>

      <description>&lt;BR /&gt;In the server check telnet/ssh running fine.&lt;BR /&gt;You can refresh inetd.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also You can check your Firewall  and other restrictions in the local pc.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;hth,&lt;BR /&gt;Raj.</description>

      <description>Hi raj,&lt;BR /&gt;I restarted the inetd services.But no use.Still I am getting the same problem.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Firewall restrictions means which service and parameters should i check?.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&lt;BR /&gt;sri.</description>

      <description>Srinu ,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;getty is only responsible here for console login.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You have problem with console login or with all telnet login ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If problem with console login , check if getty is running :&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/usr/sbin/getty console console&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Cheers,&lt;BR /&gt;Raj.</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Sounds like issue with monitor.&lt;BR /&gt;Monitor is not compatible. Display wouldn't come for 14 and 15 Inches monitor seen.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Try with connecting any 17 Inches monitor.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks &amp;amp; Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Rajesh</description>

      <description>If you have the chance, reboot and hold the "del" key at the console during start up.  See the following from the "init" man page:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;"If messages are expected but do not appear during booting, it may be caused by the logical system console (/dev/syscon) being linked to a device that is not the physical system console (/dev/systty).  If this occurs, you can force boot init to relink /dev/syscon to /dev/systty by pressing the DEL (delete) key (ASCII 127) on the physical system console."&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I seem to recall that, on early HP-UX 11, this would happen if the system was rebooted from a station other than the console / GSP&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
