      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;i want to set ulimit for user Oracle to 4000000.&lt;BR /&gt;i set "unlimited" as hard limit, but when i try to set 4000000 to soft limit, it doesn't work.&lt;BR /&gt;thx.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;[crm-prd1]/home/oracle&amp;gt;ulimit -Hd unlimited&lt;BR /&gt;[crm-prd1]/home/oracle&amp;gt;ulimit -Hd          &lt;BR /&gt;unlimited&lt;BR /&gt;[crm-prd1]/home/oracle&amp;gt;ulimit -d &lt;BR /&gt;2000000&lt;BR /&gt;[crm-prd1]/home/oracle&amp;gt;ulimit -d 4000000&lt;BR /&gt;su: ulimit: The specified value exceeds the user's allowable limit.</description>

      <description>Thx for your posts.&lt;BR /&gt;i dont understand why have i to increase maxdsize &amp;amp; maxdsize_64bit ?  (setten to 2G)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;however, i want to set "ulimit -d" to juste 4Mega.</description>
