      <description>Hi, &lt;BR /&gt;a simple question.&lt;BR /&gt;when i download big softwares, tools, applications and patchs, the connection will broke after one or two hours.&lt;BR /&gt;i asked my friends and they told about software downloading managers something like that. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;since u also might have downloaded big softwares like oracle and all, can u tell me which software can i use for downloading..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;thanks...points given...</description>

      <description>Shalom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For patches,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Choose the ftp option if permitted by your network administration. It is much more reliable than anything browser based.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;There is another tool called snarf which does the same thing. The HP scripted version actually contains patch sets with dependencies, which is quite nice.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For applications and such the downloads are short enough that a download manager should not be needed.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>can anybody suggest me other tools or applications..&lt;BR /&gt;free applications is better. i cant buy. something like "download manager" kind of things..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;how u will download oracle 10g db [ 1GB size ]  or do you know the ftp site for oracle10g version2 software download.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;thanks..</description>

      <description>Why not try using a more reliable connection, maybe you have a Windows box, Linux box.  Then, once downloaded, move the software, patches, etc... over to your Unix box at your convenience.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This will save you from buying a download manager.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;GBR</description>
