    <description>Hi guys,&lt;BR /&gt;i was taking an ignite backup of entire vg00..after sometime it asked me for volume 2 to be mounted........then i inserted another tape and pressed go....within 3 sec i got message make_tape_recovery completed successfully........&lt;BR /&gt;I just want to know whether my tape has been successfully created or not.....???&lt;BR /&gt;Also can i restore from hpux 11i v1 to hpux 11i v2.........</description>

      <description>Shalom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Its a two tape backup and is probably okay.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You need to test it to be sure.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Answer to second question: No. A backup taken on a 11i v1 machine when restored to a 11i v2 machine will leave you with an 11 v1 machine.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>Hi steven,&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks for ur prompt response.......i meant only certain directories can be restored like etc,var,home.......taken from hpux11i v1 to hpux11i v2.......... Yes or no??</description>
