Slow Disk Access

Hi We are currently using SC10s with a mixture of 18 and 36GB disks fitted. On a N class HP 9000 Server

What would be the best way forward to replace these to maximise disk access as this is the bottleneck in our system at present

Must be cost effective

Shalom,

You may not need to replace them at all.

Perhaps you should analyze the layout that you used and see if contention is making the bottleneck.

This can help you spot the problem disk and maybe you can re-arrange things.

If you must replace, you have many choices, including JBOD, just a bunch of disks.

HP Storagework 2120 arrays are very cost efficient and provide good storage capacity, but not the greatest performance.
