    <description>I suspect that there is a problem in the .profile of these users. More than likely, the .profile is trying to acceess a file for which this new group does not have permission.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Created certain new user accounts on HP-UX 11.00 belonging to a new group. While trying to either telnet or doing an su - &lt;USERNAME&gt; as root am getting the below error:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Open VOC error.&lt;BR /&gt;errno=13: Permission denied&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thank.&lt;/USERNAME&gt;</description>

      <description>I would not expect an error, if you simply do "su &lt;USERNAME&gt;" as root so that the .profile is not sourced.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/USERNAME&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi Alan,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;My bad .... I should have looked into the .profile before. Yes it was trying to access some legacy application and the new users were not in the correct gorup. I copied the default profile and it works fine now.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks.</description>
