I am installing the latest and the greatest 11.23 from June 2006. (B.11.23) Anything particular I need to know about this version?
It will be installed on L-class PA-RISC and also onto Itanium rx4640.

Any improvements I should be aware of? I noticed that the "Core OS Install and Recovery" now comes with 2 DVDs, not just one like before.
Shalom,

I recently installed this version on an Itanium Server. It was kind of a big PITA. It is very sensitive to firmware considerations. Make sure you meet the firmware requirements prior to doing the install.

After installation, it was wonderful. It is a very solid release. It works very well with Oracle.

SEP

hi,

just one more thing worth noting before you start.

check the IO cards in the L class, as not all are supported with 11.23, FWD I/F for example.

Also make sure pdc firmware is the latest before you start

Andy
