Shalom,

You realize the reason your first attempt failed is that the system default filesystem is set to vxfs.

I hope you had a backup of /stand prior to running newfs on it.

Good Luck,

SEP

Installing the 11.23 filesystem, after all the configuration stuff, I get this. I've never seen this before, what does it mean?

* Making HFS filesystem for "/stand", (/dev/vg00/rlvol1).
mkfs (hfs): Fragment size (1024) is too small; minimum for 65536 block size is 8192.
ERROR: newfs command failed: (/sbin/fs/hfs/newfs -L -s 524288 -b 65536
/dev/vg00/rlvol1).

The configuration process has incurred an error, would you like
to push a shell for debugging purposes? (y/[n]): y
* Type "exit" to reboot, "exit 2" to ignore error
* Loading in /sbin/sh, please wait...
#

Well, I redid the whole thing, making /stand 512MB and Hfs (I thought I had that before). And it's cruising through the install just fine. Never mind.
