Hi sir,

EMC allocated 2GB to India Hp Box. just thay allocated one LUN. so could you please tell me how to see in the BOX did they allocated or not

insf -e
ioscan -fnC disk

this will create the device files for the new disk, and display all of the disks attached to the system

Could you please tell me this 2 gb space allocated for which disk becaus we have 18 disk how to find exatly this space allocated for only this disk.

Since the disk was added while the system was running, you will have to run ioscan to show the current disks/LUNs:

ioscan -fnCdisk

Then (before you run insf -e), look for a line where the device files are missing. This will be the new disk. Make note of the hardware path. Now run insf -e to create the missing device files, then run diskinfo against the new /dev/rdsk/------ file to see the size of the new LUN.
