      <description>OK, let me get this straight once and for all.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;There is no way to get a difinitive kernel revision level for HP-UX like there is with Solaris? Correct.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Solaris you can use the showrev command.</description>

In my opinion, the best one-line description of the "revision" is probably:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# swlist|grep -i -e QPK -e GOLD&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;...which will return Quality Pack or "GOLD" bundles with their dated descriptions.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Of course you can see kernel patch information by doing:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# what /stand/vmunix&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;...JRF...</description>
