Hi jagadesh,
I also had the same error....i am pretty sure the ignite that u have taken should be from another model than where u r restoring and also the version of ignite would be much older and not the latest one which does support even changes in hardware...
Like we had ignite backup of 8420 to be restored on rp3410.
Anyway if u move ahead as per the link provided u will certainly invite more trouble...Like i did........

So if u have access to ur old server..go back buy latest igniteux package and then take ignite backup agin...
bye....
Hi Admins,

Facing strange errors while restoring ignite.
----------------------
* Backing up LVM configuration for "vg00".
* Processing the archive source (recovery).
* Sat Oct 14 09:57:02 EDT 2006: Starting archive load of the source
(Recovery Archive).
* Positioning the tape (/dev/rmt/10mn).
* Archive extraction from tape is beginning. Please wait.
pax_iux: usr/adm : File exists
ERROR: Cannot load OS archive (Recovery Archive)

The configuration process has incurred an error, would you like
to push a shell for debugging purposes? (y/[n]): y
* Type "exit" to reboot, "exit 2" to ignore error
----------------------
Iam still in the debugging shell. Any suggestions for fixing this would be really helpful.

This error is discussed in IG-UX FAQ at
http://www.docs.hp.com/en/IUX/faq.html#d0e3135

As mentioned, you can ignore the error and continue the client installation. Then once client is up, you can fix the error for the cause mentioned in there.

Shalom,

I don't see how one can continue the restore process from the debug shell which is supposed to be used to debug problems.

I would see what happens if you choose N and don't push a shell. If the restore continues thats good otherwise you will need to use the shell to diagnose.

What version of Ignite? What kind of system? Is the tape drive confirmed working condition?

SEP
