Navin,

VSE isn't one application/tool - its a collection - get more info here:

http://h71028.www7.hp.com/enterprise/cache/258397-0-0-0-121.html

Maybe you should also watch the free webinar here:

http://h41156.www4.hp.com/education/article.aspx?cc=uk&ll=en&id=319

But to answer your question:

1) Yes, some elements of VSE are supported on a rx4640. In fact everything apart from these components:
Hard Partitions (nPars)
Virtual Partitions (vPars)
Utility Pricing Solutions
These 3 components require cell based systems to work (thats rx7640/rx7620 and up)

2) There's no specific requirement for multiple NICs in VSE - of course you might have other reasons to have multiple NICs.

3) You can purchase a VSE Suite license, which contains a whole stack of the VSE products:

http://h71028.www7.hp.com/enterprise/cache/262582-0-0-0-121.html

Or you can buy individual components.

AFAIK they are all licensed 'per processor core' - contact HP or a reseller for details and prices.

HTH

Duncan

Shalom,

If this is the product:
http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=vse

The answer to item 1 is yes.

The answer to the other questions is in the documentation that comes with.

Note I make my conclustion because there is an HP-UX 11.23 download. 11.23 runs on PA-RISC and Integrity (rx...) hardware.

SEP
