look at yout /etc/inittab file

there you will find this entry and in the second field you see the keword respawn. this means restart this command. In your case there is a problem with your getty on /dev/ttyd1p0 (probably a modem) and this causes getty to die and be re-spawned.
As this happens continously this messages on /dev/console is displayed.

check your (modem ??) connection on /dev/ttyd1p0

I got quite similar error messages after installing patch PHSS_24190.

If you also had installed this patch, recently, you would have to move /opt/wt/newconfig/usr/lib/X11/extensions/libSX.1010 or /opt/wt/newconfig/usr/lib/X11/extensions/libSX.1020 (depending on your HPUX version) to /usr/lib/X11/extensions and rename it to libSX.1.

Hi Kenneth

It is likely that you could also be experiencing problems with the serial device attached to port ttyd1p0. Check this device, try it on another port.

If there is a cable plugged into that port and no device attached to the end of it you will also get this error message. Check that there are no cables connected which have no devices on the end.

If it is a modem connected onto that port then the cable could be of the wrong specification, check your cable.

Graeme.
