11.23 is a major version change and it is safe to assume that *ALL* files and many directories will be changed. As with all major revisions, do not plan on doing an "upgrade". Instead, install and patch the OS on your test system, then add your applications (after checking that they are the correct version for 11.23). If all works OK, then you can perform the same cold install on your production servers.

That number would be WAY WAY WAY too much for a forum like this.

My best advice for a starting point would be to read the Installation Guide and Release Notes for 11.23. BUT even those will not tell you exactly what will get updated.

The reason is that it will depend entirely on which products you have installed and host of other factors.

A good starting point might be to do a

# swlist -l fileset

and look for anything with 11.11 in the version. When you see that, chances are VERY good that it will get updated during an upgrade.

Another option might be:

# swlist -l file | more

At the beginning of each section you will see heading preceded by a '#' symbol. This will list the bundle/fileset and the version number. The files that belong in that fileset will follow. If the bundle/fileset says B.11.11, then chances are good that the files that are listed will get updated.

The files and directories will number in THOUSANDS, quite possibly more than 100,000.
