Search Command terminates 11.23 install

Installing 11.23 via terminal interface
During the boot sequence asked to press any key to allow user to do a search for a alternate boot device.
Enters sea for search for device.
Install terminates.

Is is a hardware issue?

Sounds like it can't find any of your disk devices? How are they connected? If SCSI, make sure they are properly terminated (I have had a problem before where the terminator was attached, but it turned out that it wasn't working).

SCSI is a good place to look first.

There is another probable issue which you may or may not have experienced: firmware.

What type of server is this?

rx2600 and rx2620 systems require several firmware updates before the 11.23 install will work with them.

Another good idea. However these are older machines L1000, L2000 and we have install 11.23 numerous times before with no issues.

The issue was that the AUTO Line Feed was on therfore when the search command was performing it would terminate beacuse the auto line find would act like "select any key" to determinate the search.
