      <description>Nanda,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Ip address can be found by using different ways.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1.nslookup server name&lt;BR /&gt;2. check /etc/hosts ===&amp;gt; it will be there if the host is added&lt;BR /&gt;3.check /etc/rc.config.d/netconf file&lt;BR /&gt;4.arp&lt;BR /&gt;5. lanscan  ===&amp;gt;will give network interface name&lt;BR /&gt;using that run &lt;BR /&gt;ifconfig interface name.==&amp;gt;will give ip address&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regarding network speed can be found by using lanadmin command&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks,&lt;BR /&gt;siva&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Check if you don't have imput or output errors on your net cards:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;netstat -in &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;coluns "Ierrs" "Oerrs"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If there's no errors execute:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# ping host 1024&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;And look at the "time" value, it's very high maybe it's switch or router problems.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Good Luck,&lt;BR /&gt;JT</description>

      <description>Need just a bit more information. Are you using a modem? What is the baud rate? Or are you using your built-in LAN and the other computer is on the same network switch? Or is the remote computer on the open Internet? If it is on the open Internet, what speed is your connection to the Internet? And as mentioned, the ping time is a good indication of throughput. A 2 megabyte file might take an hour with a slow modem or 3 seconds with a fast LAN connection internally.</description>
