Either way should actually work.

Just download the file to your PC with whatever name you want. Then transfer it to your HP-UX box (make sure to use BIN mode if you do an FTP). Then once on the HP-UX box do a 'sh <FILENAME>' to generate the PH??_?????.text and PH??_?????.depot files.

</FILENAME>

Navin,

After selecting the patch , Choose the server group, If you are downloading from india , use Singapore Server in point no 1

Then
Choose either ZIp, or tar options from point 2.

Click on Download button on point 3.

It should ask you where to save the patch , give the location somewhere in your PC.

Then you can tranfer these patches from your PC to the UNIX box thru ftp.

Then untar it or Unzip it.

Then you can go for swinstall

Thanks,
Siva

I prefer to use a shell script which downloads needed patches - the latest option in the menu.

You down load a script onto your PC, ftp it to a HPUX machin and run the script. If your HPUX servers are permitted to ftp files from Internet, this is the safest option.
Look on README file after the patches are downloaded for details.

HTH
Navin,

What ever i said applies if you are going to downlaod multiple patches .

I hope you will be downlaoding multiple patches as you may be having some dependents also to be downlaoded.

If not you can directly save it to your PC and FTP to the unix box in binary mode as suggested in earlier replies.

Thanks,
Siva

But as mentioned:

There is button called " Expand to view additional download options at the first part of the page.

Click on it and it will give you tha options for tar or Zip. Then the download button will pop up a save button.
