Stephen,

Thanks for the reply, I have rebooted the server many times and I'm still getting the same errors, I think it is the core I/O board
that is cauing the problem based on what I have
seem the last couple of weeks, we keep losing
connection on the console port and I was try to
reset the GSP and it failed. I did a search on
the app SlfAccess with no good results. It is
not causing any noticable problems right now except spitting a lot of messages out on the console. I might log a call with HP support.

Sonny

Hi,

I'm getting a log of syslog errors on the console, don't know why. I just
applied the latest bundle patch and I start getting this error and I had
problems with the console before that. I am access the server thru a terminal
server (Latronix) and it locked up, I issued the reset GSP command and it
failed. I don't know if these two events are related. The errors I am getting
every few second on the console:

Nov 18 21:07:06 rifas10 syslog: Failure at SlfAccess(s_db_oh) with code -1
Nov 18 21:07:06 rifas10 syslog: Internal Error Information:
Nov 18 21:07:06 rifas10 syslog: Category: -5
Nov 18 21:07:06 rifas10 syslog: Operation: access failed
Nov 18 21:07:06 rifas10 syslog: Location: SlfAccess
Nov 18 21:07:06 rifas10 syslog: Other:
Nov 18 21:07:06 rifas10 syslog: Dep: 2
Nov 18 21:07:12 rifas10 syslog: Failure at SlfAccess(s_db_oh) with code -1
Nov 18 21:07:12 rifas10 syslog: Internal Error Information:
Nov 18 21:07:12 rifas10 syslog: Category: -5
Nov 18 21:07:12 rifas10 syslog: Operation: access failed
Nov 18 21:07:12 rifas10 syslog: Location: SlfAccess
Nov 18 21:07:12 rifas10 syslog: Other:
Nov 18 21:07:12 rifas10 syslog: Dep: 2

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Sonny
Shalom,

The only disinguishing characteristic of these messages is the application name:

SlfAccess

I'm not familiar with it but thats where I'd start my search.

Based on your trouble history you may need to resetart the application providing terminal services.

SEP

Bill, you hit it right on the nose, we found
the problem this morning, it was cause by
init.cssd, we commented out in the inittab and
killed the two spawned processes and the error
messages stopped. Thanks for the help!

Sonny
