Yes - it is cumulative:

NOTE: Standard HP-UX patch bundles are cumulative. The latest version of a bundle includes patches from all previous versions. Also, the QPK and HWE patch bundles may have overlapping content. This will not affect the patching process.

Rgds...Geoff

Hi Donald:

Patch bundles are cumulative. However, since you don't indicate the specifics of your current release, and whether or not you are cold-installing or truly updating from an earlier 11.23 release, please see this:

http://www2.itrc.hp.com/service/rsb/rsbDisplay.do?fileName=patches_hpux/hpux11iv2_9000_integrity.htm

ftp://ftp.itrc.hp.com/patch_bundles/hp-ux/RELEASE/rbi_0609-11.23.pdf

Regards!

...JRF...

Hi Donald,

Yes, you vcan install the patch bundle. The patch is a cumulative. However it wouldn't hurt to run the patch assessment on all the patches. After you get all strighten up on patches. I would start patching with the patch bundle that come out from HP about every 6 months. That way you are pretty close to being current on patches.

sp,
