      <description>Hi Friends,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;wishing all users a happy new year&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have a problem in HP ds2405 diskstation VA7400 &lt;BR /&gt;which is connected to three HP L1000 servers through FC Switch.&lt;BR /&gt;The Amber LEd on the diskstation keeps glowing.When I checked the launcher .Normally there were two enclosure 1 main and other JBOd .Now there is one more jbod enclosure with 1 disk.the enclosure is named phantom disk enclosure in the disk PA/D1 appears as not getting initialized.There are 15 hdd in main enclosure and 9 hdd in jbod .the status of all hdd are fine.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The servers are working fine without any error.But the syslog files shows some hard disk failure error .I am attached the file .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Is there any hardware failure???what can be done to isolate the problem.&lt;BR /&gt;what r these phantom disks and how have they been created in the array?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;awaiting ur reply.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>You need to start using the: Assign Points -- this will get you better responses here...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;also, I can not read your attached file..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;btw, SCSI errors will show the h/w errros related to the IO divice..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;send the forum any info on the ioscan.. explain:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;run the command:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ioscan -fn&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Could you post the relevant sections of the &lt;BR /&gt;armdsp -a report&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also see if there is anything relevant in your armlog.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Andrew Y</description>
