Ignite Error

When a try to run te command:

# make_tape_recovery -a /dev/rmt/1mn -AvI

I got this error:

ERROR: Tape destination @` is not found on the system.No such file or
directory (errno = 2)
ERROR: Check tape device failed.

You want to run this command:

# ioscan -fnkC tape

Make sure that your tape device is listed there.

Hi

I saw this once after a shell patch

needed a newer version of Ignite loaded

You need to check for the tape device.

Check with ioscan first and then with mt.

# ioscan -fnC /dev/rmt/1mn
(It should be in CLAIMED status.)

# mt -t /dev/rmt/1mn status
(Assuming tape is inside the drive, so It should show BOT Online...)
