We had installed HPUX 11.23 on rx4640,
We added Vdisk on EVA800, configure zoning,
but we can't see the MSL6000 drives !

I look in Kernel modules find that
stape, schgr was in stat unused

I had changed them to static rebooted the server... But still no think.

NB: With other servers HPUX 11.11 PARISC I can see the MSL drives and I can use them.

Am I missing some think ?

Thanks in advance.

Shalom,

Use fcmsutil on the rx4640 system to determine the WWN, world wide name of the hba card on the rx4640.

Assign the lun on the EVA that WWN.

Either reboot the rx4640 or run ioscan and see that the disk comes up.

fcmsutil has options that can be used to talk to the disk array.

If all else fails look physically to see that the rx4640's HBA card is lit up and has signal. If not, check the fiber cable and run EVA utils to see if it has connectivity to the rx4640.

SEP

Thx,
I think I haved explain well my problem,

I already can see all the vdisks created on EVA, there is no problem for connection between EVA and the Itanium server.

The only problem is that the server can't see the MSL6000 drives !

regards
