Write files to DVD

Hi we have a HL-DT-STDVD+RW GCA-4040N drive connected to a Intel Itanium rx2620 servers, running HP-UX 11.23. I want to write some data to the DVD. I am unaware of the procedure.
Is there some software I would have to install and also is there any document I can refer to ?

I rum hp-ux 11.11. After having trouble with cdwrite, I switched to Gear Pro Unix. It writes both to cds and dvds, and I have been satisfied with it. However, it is not free.
