      <description>I want to change the name to my server. I have added a new entry in the /etc/passwd file and I have keep the old one like an alias. But the name displayed for the SAM application is still the old. Must I add the new name to any other file or application?</description>

      <description>You could run '/sbin/init.d/hostname &lt;HOSTNAME&gt;'. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Or you could just change the file /etc/rc.config.d/netconf.  There is a line there for hostname, but it would not take effect until the next reboot in that case.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I believe the command '/usr/bin/hostname &lt;HOSTNAME&gt;' will change the current running system's hostname, but not change it for the next reboot.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope it helps&lt;BR /&gt;John&lt;/HOSTNAME&gt;&lt;/HOSTNAME&gt;</description>
