Any particular reason you are still on 11.22? Itanium users should _really_ be on 11.23, except perhaps those still using Merced (Itanium1) systems, and those folks should be upgrading to Itnaium2 systems...

Compiling from source might work, you might be able to swinstall an 11.11 depot and run bash under the Aries emulator - but if there are problems with Aries on 11.22 they aren't going to be fixed there...

Ya this I got earlier itself,
I just thought of different ways
of installing packages.
I have used the same src and it worked too.

I was planning to download and keep
packages which really needs minimum time
while setting up systems
If anybody can help me in getting bash
package which can be installed using
swinstall It will be worhy
