    <description>There is always the expedient of removing the power cable(s) and that will be no worse than a TOC.</description>

      <title>power cycle question</title>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;I was working on configuring ip for the hpvmnet..but some how system is stuck and could interrupt. I was trying to power cycle the box using the front panel switch ...which did not help. How do i interrupt the system or pwer cycle through MP console...please advice.</description>

"hpvmnet" - this looks like Integrity virtual machines!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Where is your problem?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I guess you want to powercycle your VM - I'm right?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;In this case you should log on to the "virtual" MP of your system:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# hpvmconsole -P your_vm&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;(This looks like the real MP!)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Here you can "switch off" the VM using the "pc" command&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;[guest1] vMP&amp;gt; pc -off&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;or just&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;[guest1] vMP&amp;gt; pc&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You must run this command from the VM Host.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Check the results with "hpvmstatus" from the VM Host.</description>

      <description>BTW, are you sure you switched off the right system?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can switch off the whole system with&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;MP:CM&amp;gt; pe&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;command (from the "real" MP).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;POINTS are="" always="" welcome=""&gt;&lt;/POINTS&gt;</description>
