Problems with print scheduler

On HPUX 11.11 OS, printers stopped printing. The scheduler was stopped and it will not restart. Last resort is to restore an old printer configuration, not sure how old it is so I am hesitant in doing that. What else can I do. Thanks

can you please give us more details on "it will not restart".
Any error messages on screen ? Are you doing this via SAM or command line ? Any entries in /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log ?

No error message and no entries in the syslog.log. Tried starting from SAM as well as command line with lpsched. The initial manifestation was shown when the printer stopped printing

Thanks to all for the interest and time. I had to restore the previous configuration. Jobs are now being printed.
