HP CSA details

Hi,

I want to take up CSA. Could you please suggest some methods to clear the exam. Help from the scratch would be very much appreciated. I am looking for specific details like the study guides/books/course materials to be used etc.

Hi All,

Thanks for replying to my query. I have one more query...I have worked in HP UX for 2 yrs basically at the programming side (shell scripting) with very little knowledge on the System administration side. But I want to start working on administration sometime in future. Would you suggest me to take up the HP-091 exam? I am ready to learn for the exam though.

No.

I suggest several years of hands on systems administration before trying to get the certification.

Its a multiple choice test and rote memorization can get you through it. Such a path would make the certification have no value.

I passed the exam today. *bows graciously*

I 'met' HPUX in 1998, and have been working on it intensively since 2001.. I must admit this is what helped the most, as Steven already noted.

I've used Rehman's book to prepare for the actual exam, since it provides a nice overview of most required subjects.
