Hi,
and welcome tot he forums !
I suspect you have already seen:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=50339
You shouldn't have to start memlogd as diagmond should start it. As this startup is not working, have you checked the configuration?

What's in the log files, especially for diagmond?

Other threads:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=124698

Please also read:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/helptips.do?#33 on how to reward any useful answers given to your questions.

Hi,

you are using the Sept. 2002 release!

How about updating it?

See
http://docs.hp.com/en/diag/stm/stm_upd.htm

I'm quite sure this will help ;-)

Yes, you definitely need to upgrade to a currently supported version. It'll be a waste of time to do any troubleshooting with the version you have, there are too many possibilities for incompatibilities with other software on the system, or bugs which have been fixed since that release.

Andrew
