montecito processor for IA system.

Hello,

I am runing a IPF system on hp-ux11.23 and would like to distingush that wether it has dualcore(montecito)processors or not in the box by the commands or something.

If the system has been up for more than a year, then it is single core :-)

You can see a difference when i execute machinfo :

Difference between montecito and others are processors family
32 montecito
31 others

I don't say if it's very sure as identification....

Hi,

the threads above are about PA-RISC CPUs.

You should run

/usr/contrib/bin/machinfo

as mentioned above.

The following line is important:

processor family: 32 Intel(R) Itanium 2 9000 series

Intel named the Montecito CPU family "9000",

Previous model is for example:
processor family: 31 Intel(R) Itanium 2 Family Processors
