Urgent ssh query!

Guys,

I'm running command "ssh-keygen -t rsa" to generate the ssh keys but im getting the following error message

error "PRNG is not seeded"

is there anything i need to modify and correct in the sshd_config file?

Mind you ssh is running on the server

hi raf,

for a start, can you tell us the os and hpux version?

Go to www.software.hp.com and download the latest ssh (T1477AA).

There a few requirements need to be meet prior installing ssh. You can get it from the same site.

sorry, forgot to tell more about it. If use ssh from HP website, usually you won't encounter this as most of the required submodules are loaded in single ssh depot.

If you use an open source ssh from other website, then you may have to install prng first. Here's the link for you to download the prng.

I've got ssh from hp website and looks like prng included. Configuration after that is quite straight forward.

Thanks for your quick response mate, i just got involved with some major production issues on our hp prod server and for this reason my colleague is now doing bit of investigation and using the links that you have provided.
