Hi Jeff,

Can I know for how much did you wait after issuing the command and how much time it used to take to mount the share before replacing the drive. Plz check for any possible network issues. You will not get any error message as the mount process is still trying, you will get an error immediately if it not able to locate the source or the destination, kill the current mount process and try to mount it again.

Cheers
I have a drive that(snap server) that went dead. I replaced it and I'm trying to point it to a different IP address. However, after typing mount 10.100.3.22:share1$/kohlerspecs /home/kspec and hitting enter, it just sits there. This is an RP7410 with 11i. I did the samething on out HPK460/9000 running 11i and it worked fine. Why won't this mount or at least come back to a prompt and give me an error or message?

Hi,

maybe the mount command hangs, because another mount (the drive which went dead?) is hanging?
Can you open another console or login from another ws?
Check which command is hanging - try to kill it, check your fstab. Maybe you have to reboot the server.

HTH
Volkmar
