    <description>Shalom Maria,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;As I recall from the past some of your systems are exposed to the Internet.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;From experience the message indicates that an inbound sendmail connection was initiated but time out before being complete.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This could indicate a malliciouis user or spammer is probing your system.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>Hi,  hpux 11.11v1 model rp2470&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have been noticing some sendmail messages in the syslog.  I am having problems trying to find out what they mean and what I should be doing about them.  Can anyone assist here??&lt;BR /&gt;Plenty points.... message follows:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Apr  9 21:06:31 5C:saturn sendmail[2078]: l38K01E17049: timeout waiting for inpu&lt;BR /&gt;t from local during Draining Input                                   &lt;BR /&gt;thanks Maria</description>

      <description>It's always a good idea to check sendmail.org for known bugs; yours is listed there:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; timeout waiting for input from local during Draining Input&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;  Make sure that the program does not generate output beyond a&lt;BR /&gt;  status message (corresponding to the exit status).  This may&lt;BR /&gt;  require a wrapper around the actual program to redirect output&lt;BR /&gt;  to /dev/null.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;  Such a problem has been reported for bulk_mailer.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
