    <description>Hi Joell,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ususally the dialout device is culxxx - here cul1p0. ttydxxx is in default for dial in. Check with lssf /dev/ttyd1p0 (or better lssf /dev/*1p0) the configuration and use the right device for modem accecc &lt;BR /&gt;( e.g. cu -l cul1p0 ). Now configure with AT command set your modem (see modem manual).&lt;BR /&gt;And : 2400 ! Is your modem one or two days older ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Ruediger</description>

      <description>Hi!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have a Server D370 and I was configure a modem from SAM and I edit the file /etc/uucp/Devices using:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Direct ttyd1p0 - 2400 direct&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;but when I use the command cu I cant dial to remote server, How can I configure the modem??&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thnx</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;you have to use a different device file in /usr/lib/uucp/Devices:&lt;BR /&gt;Direct cul1p0 - 2400 direct&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then you can connect with:&lt;BR /&gt;cu -l cul1p0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Cheers&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Andrew</description>
