      <description>If the driver is not loaded, then you will see the message: UNCLAIMED. However, you are using the -u option which will only report useable devices. Use the command: ioscan -fnC tape instead. That way, if the device is connected, you can see the current state of the tape drive. If you see unclaimed, you need to add the driver to the kernel -- which requires a reboot. Note that you will never see anything reported if the tape drive has a high voltage SCSI interface and you try to connect it to any other SCSI card.</description>

      <description>As mentioned before - run "ioscan -fn" and search for an UNCLAIMED status.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;What model of server do you have and where is the tape connected?</description>

      <description>when i run ioscan -fn | grep -i UNCLAIMED, i have the following output.&lt;BR /&gt;unknown -1 0/0/1/0.3.0 UNCLAIMED UNKNOWN HP C5683A.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;model is 9000/800/L3000-7x.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I run the on other system having same model i receive the output.&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks</description>
