    <description>&amp;gt;Do you mean I have to specify "\" while providing the sudo password?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You may have to do that if stty is set wrong.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;Is there any restrictions for the password in trusted mode for sudo.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Check the "stty -a" settings and see if "@" shows up, probably for "kill".</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am facing below issue on one of my 11.11 server which is in trusted mode. If I use special characters in password, I can login to server, but for sudo it wont accept the password. With normal password, its working fine.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Could anyone got any clue...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks in advance,&lt;BR /&gt;Anil</description>

      <description>What special characters?  # or @?  You may have to quote them with "\".</description>

      <description>Have a read through the passwd(1m) man page.  I believe it mentions special characters that should be avoided.  That is good practice overall, not just for sudo.</description>
