    <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I ma trying to install GCC on HP-UX 11.11.but it fails after configure. Below are the steps i did &lt;BR /&gt;#./configure&lt;BR /&gt;#gmake &lt;BR /&gt;cd ../gcc&lt;BR /&gt;gmake[2]: *** No rule to make target `all'.  Stop.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Can someone tell me the steps to install gcc on HP-UX</description>

If so,&lt;BR /&gt;you might try the procedure described in the&lt;BR /&gt;installation instructions:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://gcc.gnu.org/install/" target="_blank"&gt;http://gcc.gnu.org/install/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://gcc.gnu.org/install/configure.html" target="_blank"&gt;http://gcc.gnu.org/install/configure.html&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://gcc.gnu.org/install/build.html" target="_blank"&gt;http://gcc.gnu.org/install/build.html&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;[...]&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Note (from configure.html):&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;First, we highly recommend that GCC be built&lt;BR /&gt;into a separate directory than the sources&lt;BR /&gt;which does not reside within the source tree. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt; Below are the steps i did&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;No, those are the steps after you got some&lt;BR /&gt;kind of kit from somewhere, unpacked it&lt;BR /&gt;somewhere, and did a "cd" to somewhere, none&lt;BR /&gt;of which you've described.  If you want&lt;BR /&gt;useful advice, it helps to describe&lt;BR /&gt;accurately what you have done.</description>
