      <title>CDE login problem</title>

      <description>Hi All,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;CDE is not working in our hp unix server, after that i renamed /etc/resolve file.After that cde is working fine but DNS not working.&lt;BR /&gt;PLs resove this one.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Suresh</description>

      <description>Hi Suresh,&lt;BR /&gt; First check your /etc/hosts file...&lt;BR /&gt;Also check /etc/nsswtich.conf for hostname resolution&lt;BR /&gt;/etc/resol.conf --&amp;gt; resolver builds a list of possible fuly qualified hostnames using serach list in the file.</description>

      <description>After verifying your /etc/hosts and /etc/nsswitch.conf, make sure you can resolve hostname to ip address:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# nslookup &lt;HOSTNAME&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# nslookup &lt;IP address=""&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Only when the above works well, CDE will start to work.&lt;/IP&gt;&lt;/HOSTNAME&gt;</description>
