    <description>Spelling counts; it's omniminit so "man omniinit".&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;From memory but is should be close:&lt;BR /&gt;omniminit -init My_Drive My_Label -pool MyPool [-slot 3]&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;In any event, you should be able to (again from memory) from the xomni GUI -&amp;gt; Devices &amp;amp; Media -&amp;gt; Media -&amp;gt; Pools &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Select a pool then&lt;BR /&gt;Actions -&amp;gt; Format</description>

      <title>Replace old tape</title>

      <description>We are using DP for backups. Due to the usgae of very old medias, some of our backup jobs started to fail.I have managed to get some new medias. What  I would like to do is to replace old medias.What is the proceedure to use a new tape in data protector? I believe it needs to be initialized.. Please advice.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Many thanks</description>

      <description>You can run the omniminit command from the shell or ou can use the GUI-&amp;gt;Devices &amp;amp; Media to initialize the media and add it to a Media Pool. Man omniminit for details.</description>
