Hi,

The "init command is respawning too rapidly"
message is commonly seen when there is a corrupt file
within the filesystem.

In this case, the error involving the dld.sl file, points at corruption with that file itself.

By replacing the corrupt dld.sl file with a copy from a known functioning system and then rebooting, you should be able
to resolve this problem.

Later,

Hi GAJANAN BHAT

I think the system is not able to mount all of the following
/var /tmp /opt /stand /usr / . Yoy can check this by going to single user mode.

Please boot in single user mode
ISL Prompt and hpux -is and then cleanup the file systems and remount .
and then go to multiuser mode.

All the best.

Manoj Srivastava

Hi,

Your output reported :
id:cons "/usr/sbin/getty console consloe #system console

Try correcting "consloe" by "console".
The script couldn't test that string and it is instanciated to nothing known for the system boot.

This will solve your problem.

Magdi

Hi,

If it is not the typo there is probably a 'strange' file in /etc/rc.config.d. Examine this dir for suspicious file names, like '!' or "#' etc.
