I am trying to get predictive to run through email.
I am on an HP9000, 11.0
I did the install and the setup (in psconfig) and when it went to run the test, I got the error
Attempting a data transfer test...Please wait
The Predictive Support monitor is currently unavailable.
A file transfer connection cannot be made at this time.

Any suggestions for what I should check. I am trying to get this to work without a modem....but can move to that option if need be. Please help!

your better off going through the modem, sometimes the email connections will timeout and you'll get disconnected..you can watch what is happening if you do a tail -f on /var/mail/predmail..you also need to make sure that your email address can be resolved by the external host..ie predmail@host.domain.cxm needs to be accessible, you may have to create an alias from predmail@domain.cxm to predmail@host.domain.cxm...regardless, modem is much better.
